Into the Design Lab: Frank Frazetta 2
Part two of a five part series, dissecting the works of the award winning comic book artist and science fiction illustrator, Frank Frazetta.
In this series I deconstruct artwork to find the compositional, story, and structural devices... as well as reverse engineer some of the thinking involved in creating great art.
Part two: We take a look at the early works, and the sensational growth and development from acclaimed comic book artist, to one of the greatest illustrators of the 20th century. Frank Frazetta didn't leave his comic book skills behind, he brought them with him and that's what made the difference. We'll talk a look at his use of layers, depth, color, framing and compositional elements, as well as movement.
Part Two: We'll break down and analyze Frazetta’s use of layers, depth, color, framing, compositional elements, as well as how he moves the audience through a composition.
