Ronald William Fordham Searle, (3 March 1920 – 30 December 2011, at the age of 91 — was an English artist and satirical cartoonist, comics artist, sculptor, medal designer and illustrator. He is perhaps best remembered as the creator of St Trinian's School, a humorous cartoon series about a boarding school for juvenile delinquent girls, and later for his work on the Molesworth series, as well as his humorous illustrations in various magazines, including the The New Yorker.

FAIR USE is a legal doctrine that promotes freedom of expression by permitting the unlicensed use of copyright-protected works in certain circumstances. Section 107 of the Copyright Act determines FAIR USE and identifies certain type of uses such as criticism, comment, teaching and research.
